Cirrusly Weather uses CleanTalk and other security platforms to protect the site and our users. You will not notice any difference in usability. However, you cannot access our services if your connection isn't secure or compromised.
If this happens to you, ensure your computer is not compromised by running an antivirus scan and checking your network connection for unauthorized use. It is also possible that the IP assigned to you by your ISP was previously involved in a spam attack on a site using one of our security services.
When that happens, the IP is placed on a "global blacklist" which helps other sites protect themselves from wide-scale attacks. You may be able to "renew" your IP (get a new one) by rebooting your modem, but this will not work unless you have what is called a "dynamic IP." Many cable Internet customers will, but if you have a fiber connection, you will have a static IP.
Due to security concerns, we cannot make exceptions to our security policies. The end user is responsible for ensuring their connection is secure. False positives are extremely rare and can typically be attributed to one of the reasons above.
